Thanks to the Wave Energy Scotland (WES) programme, Scotland now has a suite of technologies and companies poised to take leading roles in the deployment of a commercial wave sector. These companies are attracting private investment and preparing to compete for Contracts for Difference (CfD).

WES has become a key influencer in the Scottish energy landscape, having built a position of valuable influence both domestically and internationally. Continued public sector investment is required to exploit Scotland’s position commercially.
